Arch Enemy - Nemesis

Here's a classic melodeath track from the everpopular Arch Enemy. 8 years counts as classic, right? Anyway, this song and the album it comes from definitely withstand the test of time. I even have a Doomsday Machine shirt in my drawer. Pretty cool.

And yes, before anyone says it, Angela Gossow is pretty cool too.

  1. I might check that one soon- Arch Enemy and In Flames are those overly popular Melodeath bands that I have never heard xD So much to listen to.. after so many years of metal I still feel that I have too much to listen to xD

    1. In Flames isn't too great, but you should definitely check out Arch Enemy :)

There used to be a ton of bands that I refused to check out because they were popular, but now are some of my favourite bands (Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir, etc). I still won't listen to the insanely popular bands like Metallica or Megadeth though. Besides, I've heard enough of their songs already from everyone else playing them.

    2. Hah, for me popularity isn't the case, usually it's music- I really have a hard time listening to Trash Metal, it just doesn't work for me, it's heavier than heavy metal but less agressive/extreme than Death/Black Metal. It seems so poor for me, like a music that 12 years old could listen to.. My opinion, I remind You. I have the same problem with other genres, Children of Boredom, Sabaton, Elvenking, Serenity (ok, amazing vocals there).
But for Amon Amarth, while they are not my favourite, or close to favourite Melodeath Band- I love them, I have a signed cd With Oden On Our Side, I love this cd and I saw Amon Amarth 20th birthday show in Poland which was totally awesome, so there is really nothing I could hate about them ^_^
